Life at work!!!

One week here now, appropriate time to post abit about what we do at the hospital!

Because Prof Uges is in the field of Toxicology, even though we're working at a hospital, we're actually attached to the analytical lab right now!

Albert-Jan has been a huge part of our stay here in the labs! He's the one showing us everything in the labs and taking us out to lunch, ensuring that our food is paid for. We are very grateful!!!

If we look like we're getting fat in the photos, we probably really are cos we eat almost as much as the Dutch too! But really, we're too happy to care :)

Remember the piece of pink cake up there? We've had cakes and tarts about three times last week! That's because it's common culture here to buy cakes/tarts for everybody when it's YOUR birthday! Yes, the birthday person buys for everyone!
